Paul Thomas Anderson diadala és a mozi új bajnokai

A filmes mezőny abszolút győztese Paul Thomas Anderson legújabb alkotása, az Egyik csata a másik után (One Battle After Another) lett, amely négy kategóriában is maga mögé utasította a konkurenciát. Anderson ráadásul történelmi mérföldkőhöz érkezett: karrierje során először vehette át a legjobb rendezőnek és a legjobb forgatókönyvírónak járó Aranyglóbuszt. A színészek között Timothée Chalamet a Marty Supreme című filmben nyújtott alakításával szilárdította meg esélyeit az idei díjszezonban, míg Chloé Zhao Hamnet című drámája a legjobb film és a legjobb női főszereplő (Jessie Buckley) kategóriájában diadalmaskodott. Az animációs fronton a K-pop démonvadászok (KPop Demon Hunters) bizonyult verhetetlennek, elnyerve a legjobb animációs filmnek és a legjobb betétdalnak járó díjakat is.
